Vice President Joe Biden will celebrate his 81st birthday this Thursday by honoring the White House Thanksgiving tradition.
The Bidens will spend the day with their family and celebrate by donating to a local food bank and doing a service project. The Vice President will also recognize the contributions of all those on the American home-front who are going the extra mile during the pandemic.
In addition, the Bidens will make a special call to a military family and extend Thanksgiving greetings. The Bidens will also participate in a virtual thank-you message to essential workers and health care heroes and provide a special “happy birthday” message to the Vice President.
The White House Thanksgiving tradition dates back to 1981 and focuses on engaging with servicemembers and their families, as well as recognizing the tremendous sacrifices of Americans who are going the extra mile to make a difference in their communities. The Bidens will be continuing the tradition and emphasizing the importance of giving thanks and helping others.
