Starbucks is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its legendary Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) in the most 2020 way possible: with non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The coffee giant has announced a limited-edition set of digital collectibles, with four different NFT artworks featuring the iconic PSL design. Each artwork will be available in five editions, all of which will be up for grabs in a special auction held on the popular blockchain-based platform, OpenSea.
These are the first ever Starbucks NFTs and will feature signature PSL elements like pumpkins, spices, and steamy mugs filled with the beloved beverage. The artwork will be animated, adding a truly unique and immersive experience to potential buyers who want to add a bit of ‘90s nostalgia to their digital portfolios. The auction will also feature three extra limited edition pieces exclusive to the platform.
The proceeds raised during the auction will be donated to the Global Nature Fund’s “Starbucks’s Legacy of Water” initiative, which is seeking to protect and improve water resources around the globe.
