More than 300,000 air fryers sold at Walmart, Target and Kohl’s recalled for burn hazard

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is recalling more than 300,000 air fryers sold at Walmart, Target and Kohl’s due to a burn hazard. The air fryers were manufactured by J.A. Henckels International and reach as many as 33,000 stores nationwide. Units were sold at Walmart from July 2017 to December 2020 for as much as $240. The CPSC learned of the potential danger after reports of 91 instances of hot oils leaking from the product during the cooking process. In a statement, the agency said, “The recall involves J.A. Henckels International air fryers with model numbers 30520, 30530, 30550, 30560, 30570, 30580, and 30590. The UPC 636391531571 appears on the underside of the fryer’s electrical base.”
