Today, we are pleased to announce the successful issuance of the first tokenized bonds on the Liquid Network. This marks the first time a fully tokenized financial instrument has been issued on the Liquid Network, one of the most secure and trusted blockchain platforms.
The instrument was issued and managed by Finex Securities, a regulated securities firm located in the British Virgin Islands. The bond was issued through a private placement offering on the Liquid Network. The five-year, fixed-coupon bond was said to yield from 6-7% annually and was targeted towards institutional-grade investors.
The bond offering marks another major milestone for the Liquid Network, a blockchain project backed by Blockstream, with many more to come. With this successful issuance, Finex Securities looks forward to expanding its tokenized debt offering and helping bridge the gap between the traditional financial system and the digital world.
