Sen. Cotton: ‘Massive retaliation’ against Iran needed to end attacks on US assets

by

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) has said that the United States needs to take a stance of “massive retaliation” against Iran in order to cease their attacks on US assets in the region and worldwide. This stance comes in light of Iran’s increasingly aggressive behavior; they have recently attacked two tankers in the Gulf of Oman, and have fired missiles and drone strikes against US troops in Iraq, as well as shooting down an unmanned U.S. drone. Sen. Cotton believes that the U.S. must respond in kind to show that such attacks will not be tolerated. This could include further economic sanctions, cyber attacks, and military strikes.
