over occupancy dispute
No. Nancy Pelosi was not evicted from her private office in the Capitol by interim House Speaker over an occupancy dispute. The Capitol’s Office of the Attending Physician informed Pelosi on January 13, 2021 that it was no longer safe for her to work in her personal office due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, Pelosi relocated to the speaker’s suite in the Capitol. The office was given to incoming House Speaker, Congressman Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) in accordance with House protocol. The incident was not related to an occupancy dispute.
