Sam Bankman-Fried, the CEO of the derivatives trading firm Alameda Research, is expected to testify in a federal fraud trial, according to his attorney. Bankman-Fried is set to appear at the trial for another former Alameda employee, Vlad Kazhdan, who is accused of defrauding JPMorgan Chase out of millions of dollars in 2017. Bankman-Fried is expected to testify about his experience with JPMorgan Chase and his relationship with Kazhdan, who has pleaded not guilty to four counts of wire fraud. Bankman-Fried’s attorney, Joshua Tunick, said that Bankman-Fried has no knowledge of the alleged fraud and is only testifying as a witness.
