The DeSantis campaign has also argued that the upcoming debate between the candidates will be the “biggest one yet” due to its “nationwide importance,” its timing near the November election, and the “strong contrast in philosophies, policies, and visions” between the two. They hope the debate will draw attention to the stark differences between DeSantis’ “pro-growth, pro-taxpayer, and pro-worker agenda” and Newsom’s “failed policies”.
