Delta has warned that the recent strikes at Hollywood film studios and major automakers are having a negative effect on business travel. According to Delta’s Chief Financial Officer, Paul Jacobson, the effect of the two strikes is an “incremental headwind” on Delta’s performance. Jacobson believes that although the strikes may only have a marginal impact on Delta’s overall results for the year, they are having a noticeable effect on the airline’s business travelers, particularly those in the entertainment and automotive industries. Jacobson also noted that Delta was closely monitoring the strikes and their effects, and attempting to help affected customers wherever possible.
