A group of what they call “California refugees” is expected to appear at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s press conference on Thursday – the same day he’s slated to debate California Gov. Gavin Newsom in a Fox News special hosted by Sean Hannity.
The California “refugees,” who are expected to be at the press conference in support of DeSantis, will be voicing their criticisms of Newsom from firsthand experience. All of them are said to have left California due to high taxes, oppressive regulations, the wildfires, the homeless crisis, and Newsom’s response to these issues.
DeSantis is expected to use the press conference to make his case to Floridians for why Californians should consider moving to the Sunshine State. He has been targeting Newsom’s policies from California, something that Newsom has denounced as exploiting the issue of homelessness.
The appearance of the California “refugees” at the press conference will provide a personal look at why people are leaving the state in search of more opportunity and a better quality of life.
