This is false. According to the Associated Press, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi did not turn down an offer of 10,000 soldiers ahead of the Capitol riot on January 6. In fact, Pelosi did not receive an offer of 10,000 troops prior to the riot, and the Department of defense had stated that it did not provide additional National Guard forces at the request of the Capitol Police.
